Our policies & FAQs

We know you have questions. Here are some frequently asked ones that will help give you peace of mind. But please feel free to call or email us. Someone is standing by and ready to assist.

  • Do I need to provide a key for my sitter?

Yes! Every client is required to leave a working key that goes to either the front or back door, regardless of how you prefer your pet sitter to enter the home. We know a lot of homes have digital door locks. But things happen. Power failures, batteries that need to be replaced, or simple user errors. Whatever the case may be, we want to ensure that your sitter can be able to enter and care for your fur babies whenever scheduled. We will be happy to enter through the garage or even the back door if you so choose. But this key is for a backup only.

  • What is a lockbox?

These are left with every client during our initial consultation. They stay with the client until our services are no longer required. The key you provide us will be left inside of your box. We use them because they are safe and secure. Our pet sitters do not carry keys or garage remotes with them. So this is where your lockbox comes in. We do not mandate they have to be on the front door. We do ask that you place them out of site and in an area out of the elements. We also ask that if you decide to change the code we've set for you, that you update it in your system profile or notify the office of the change.

  • Do I need a lockbox if I have a digital door lock?

Yes! Even if you have a digital door lock or prefer the sitter enter through the garage, we require a lockbox to be left with you. We have made every effort to ensure things run smoothly, so we have set up an action plan for any possible scenario. In this particular case, the lockbox adds an extra level of safety to ensure the sitter can get in to care for your pets.

  • Will I get the same sitter every time?

We strive to have the same sitter every time. We call this your primary sitter. However, we know that schedule conflicts, flat tires, and life situations make this sometimes impossible every time. So while this is the goal, every client will have a secondary sitter that may fill in from time to time.

  • Can I meet my sitter?

We would love for you to meet your sitter if this is something you desire. We understand that this is your home. So we make every effort to ensure you are completely comfortable with who will be caring for your pets. Most clients meet their primary sitter at the initial consultation. But if there has been a change in sitters, you are always welcome to meet them. As an added layer of security, you will recieve a text with a photo of your sitter prior to arrival. Even on consultations.

  • I have cats that stay outside sometimes. Can I have care for them?

We love our cats. We understand not every owner wants their cats inside. We do ask that you make every effort to have these cats inside while the sitter is there, as we can not be responsible for their safety if they are outside. Many things pose significant danger to these cats, and we will not be responsible for their safety if they are not inside. So for their safety, we do kindly ask that they be inside.
